ReloSpec Status Update

The Relocation Specialist upgrade to the new server has been completed.  Thank you to all who have worked with the planning and testing over the last couple months.  As you know, the last couple days have presented some challenges.  This blog will bring you up-to-date with our progress.

AutoPilot Update Requests Sent On Tuesday

Some (not all) Update Requests (AutoUpdate.asp) sent to Agents and Contacts did not have the correct URL address formulated in the body of the email.  When an agent clicks the link an error occurs and the page does not open for the agent to provide the update.  There are two solutions for this.  1) You can select the specific record in the Referrals table, click FORMS, click the link for ‘AutoUpdate’, fill in the agent’s email address and SEND.  This form will have the proper link for the agent.  Or, 2) If you want to have ALL your Update Requests from Tuesday to be sent to ALL your agents again, please let Jim (jevans@prosws.com) know and he’ll handle for you today.

IE 10.0 Requires ‘Compatibility View’

For those of you using Internet Explorer (IE) 10.0 be sure to click the icon on the section that includes the URL (Internet) address.  The icon looks like a page torn in half and when you put your cursor over the icon a small dialog box opens indicating ‘Compatibility View…’.  Click the icon and your ReloSpec Referrals List page will look much more “pleasant” and all features will work properly.  You should only need to click the icon one time, and the browser will remember to use Compatibility View every time you run ReloSpec.

For Those Using the Broker Center Copy/Paste Option

Due to changes in the Internet Explorer (IE) 10.0 the entire code for the Copy/Paste feature needed to be re-written.  That caused an unexpected delay, and is unrelated to the ReloSpec server upgrade.  The re-write has been completed and all should be working with this option.

ReloSpec is back!

You may login using  MyReloSpec.com   This is probably a different link than you are used to but it will get you to the login screen.  Your old ReloSpec links will be available as soon as the Internet updates the Domain Name settings, which takes from 30 minutes to a few hours.
You’ll be logging into a temporary front-end server.  All records you add/update will be saved when we go back to new server.

DO NOT upload Images to this temporary server.  They will be stored on the temporary server and not the production server we’ll be returning to tonight.  All Images you had stored up to a week ago will still be available for you to use.

We appreciate your patience as we work through this issue.

ReloSpec Maintenance Interruption

Due to a maintenance issue that ran longer than expected, the Relocation Specialist software is currently unavailable.  Service should be resumed at least by 9:15AM Central time.  Please try to login periodically.  Another blog will be sent once service is restored.

Thank you for your patience.

Uprade to New Server is Complete

In the continuing effort to provide the very best performance we have once again upgraded our Relocation Specialist front-end server.  Your annual Maintenance fees helped pay for the thousands of dollars invested in new equipment.  All components of the server now have larger capacity and perform faster than previous versions.

The transition to the new server has been in the works for the last couple months.  Tests of all features were completed early this month on an interim cloud server, and all work was to be completed by 3:00AM Friday morning.  We appreciate the patience of those who had brief interruptions of service last Friday as we worked through the last-minute challenges.

And The Winner Is…

Congratulations to Nancy Hudnall with the VIP Realty Group, Inc. in Florida!  Nancy is the winner of the Apple iPad we announced in the February 20th blog.

The ReloSpec411 Blog is the best way to know the latest announcements and newest features in Relocation Specialist.  Hundreds are now registered on the blog and we thank you for wanting to stay in touch.  We know it isn’t easy to “stop chopping and sharpen the ax”, but when you do, it always saves time in the long run.

Stay tuned for another chance to win, coming soon!

AutoUpdate Page Has More Information

The AutoUpdate page is one of the most popular FORMS used in Relocation Specialist.  It allows the agent or contact to provide much-needed information about your referral records.  And now, the page has expanded to 3 specific fields rather than 1 general field.  The 3 questions are:

  • Is this Referral still Active?
  • Provide Activity since the Last Update?
  • Other Comments?

Rather than have only non-specific comments the agent is now guided to provide more meaningful updates.  When the update is posted into the Responses table, you’ll notice that the 3 questions and the answers to each of the 3 questions will be provided.

Also, if you want to send Update Requests that include the (Public) Notes you can always use the FORM names ‘AutoUpdate w/Notes’.  That way, the agent will receive the request along with any Public Notes that exist with the record, then will still be able to use the new AutoUpdate FORM with the 3 questions.

We hope you’ll find having additional and specific updates to be more useful.

Updated ‘Welcome’ and ‘Thank You’ letters for Cartus Users

The Cartus ‘USAA Welcome’ letters and the ‘USAA Thank You’ letters have all been updated in Relocation Specialist.  They contain all required changes including the addition of the USAA MoversAdvantage Preferred Broker logo.

For all Cartus users of ReloSpec, there are no changes needed in your Action Plan Items or your ToDo lists.  This is because the forms have the same names.  They just have updated wording, etc.  The Descriptions found on the FORMS page for the affected forms now include “Revised Feb 2013” to indicate the last revision date.

Do You Love ReloSpec? Want To Win An iPad?

Call us crazy, but we’re so happy to have you following the ReloSpec blog that we want to give you a chance to win an iPad.  On March 29th we’ll hold a random drawing to give away the iPad.  The winner will be announced in a blog that day, and may choose between the iPad with Retina Display or an iPad Mini.

All blog followers as of March 25, 2013 are automatically registered for the drawing.  Want to increase your chances?  Send an email to mailto:jevans@prosws.com with the subject “I Love ReloSpec” and tell us what you love most about ReloSpec.  Your (extra) email address will be added to the list which will increase your chances to win!

Results of Extreme Weather on East Coast

All functions of the Relocation Specialist software are working properly.  Users are able to SEND emails, receive Responses and otherwise use their databases without interruption.

However, due to the extreme weather on the East coast the Relocation Specialist (ReloSpec) Team members do not currently have access to their email.  Emails sent to sue@prosws.com, jennifer@prosws.com, jevans@prosws.com or jim@relosoftware.com are NOT being received and may not be until at least Wednesday, October 31st.  Telephone service is working, and calls may be directed to 860/946-9110 or 402/426-9542.

If you have a need regarding the ReloSpec database, please use the ‘Help Desk’ to submit your request.  The Team will be monitoring the Help Desk requests and will respond via telephone.

Thank you for your patience during this extreme weather condition.
