Due to continued growth and in an effort to provide the best possible response times, the Relocation Specialist software is moving to a new platform of faster servers. We are implementing a ‘cloud computing’ environment that allows us to quickly add resources when needed while providing faster, more consistent response times in a secure environment.
The transition has begun and it will take a few weeks to install, test and transition to the new platform. Soon you’ll see improvements while using the Relocation Specialist software. This transition also means that new reporting features will be available. Within the new few weeks we’ll begin converting existing web-based reports to a much nicer formatted look. The improved reporting features will be significant.
For right now, there is nothing for users of Relocation Specialist to do. Continue logging in the way you always have and using the software. This is a free upgrade for all Relocation Specialist licensees. We look forward to providing an improved software product. Thank you for your patience through this brief transition period.
Spell Check
April 13, 2010 — HappybodyfoodThough we don’t have an official recommendation for web-based Spell Checking software, there is one that we have used that is very helpful. It is a free download from http://www.iespell.com/ and provides Spell Checking similar to what you would find in MS Word and other similar products.
To use, go to the website, download and install the application.
Then, while editing your Notes page you can right-click the mouse, select ‘Check Spelling’.
Customize Your ReloSpec Look!
April 12, 2010 — HappybodyfoodIn the Relocation Specialist software there are now 9 different themes which may be selected that automatically configure the colors used with the various pages. Individual users may select a theme that is different from others in the same database.
To select a theme, do the following:
1) From the Main Menu page, click ‘Utility Settings’, ‘Users’.
2) Select the name you want and click the UPDATE button
3) Click the ‘View Choices’ button in the Color Theme field to see the options
4) In the Color Theme field, make your selection from the drop-list
The newest theme is “Modern” and includes gradient colors throughout the Relocation Specialist application.
