And the Winner is…

At the beginning of November we announced the ‘Features Checklist’ survey.  The survey was designed to identify Relocation Specialist features that you may want to use, and get your suggestions for future enhancements.  We are very grateful that well over 200 of our ReloSpec customers completed the survey.

We are in the process of contacting those people that requested additional help, and you should hear from a member of the ReloSpec Team soon.

In connection with the survey, all who completed it had their names automatically entered into the drawing for the New Kindle HDX.  Suzanne Lail with Cottingham-Chalk & Associates was the lucky winner.  Congratulations to Suzanne and thank you to all who participated in the survey.

The Main Menu Page Has Changed

For those of you who have already logged into Relocation Specialist today, you probably noticed the Main Menu page has changed.  Most of the links you are used to using are still there, but the page is cleaner, brighter and better suited to today’s Internet.

Soon we be announcing our newly updated website as well.  It will perform better in the smart phone and web pad world.  We’re always looking for ways to improve!

Survey Responses are Great! More Needed

Three weeks ago we introduced the ‘ReloSpec Features’ survey and the response has been great. Over 200 ReloSpec users have completed the survey. The ReloSpec Team is busy following up with each one to help you with the features you want to know more about.

Some of the possible survey answers include statements like “Show me how” and “Set this up for me”. Many of you are taking advantage of our offer to help and we’re busy helping people take advantage of features you didn’t know about or hadn’t had time to setup yourself.

Though the response has been great, many of your have not completed the survey. Please take a few minutes to do so. Not only will you learn about cool features we can help you use, but you’ll be automatically eligible for the drawing of a new Kindle Fire HDX! The drawing will be Wednesday, November 27th.

Once again, Relocation Specialist is helping sponsor the Relocation Directors Council (RDC) conference, this time in Dallas.  The meetings are this Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Hyatt Anatole Hotel.

Want to Transfer Records from ReloSpec to Lone Wolf?

For those using (or planning to use) Lone Wolf, we want to hear from you.  We are considering a way to transfer records from ReloSpec to the Lone Wolf software and want to know how many ReloSpec customers are interested.

Our plan is to build an automatic link or API (Application Program Interface) between ReloSpec and Lone Wolf.  Once you enter the information in ReloSpec, it would automatically update the Lone Wolf software.

Would you be willing to pay between $100 and $200 for such an option?  If there is enough interest we’ll build the API and charge a pre-payment of $100 per ReloSpec database.  ReloSpec users who wait until after the API is completed will probably pay the $200 price.

  1. Are you interested in using the proposed API link between ReloSpec and the Lone Wolf software?
  2. Would you be willing to make a pre-payment of $100 prior to the API product release?

Scheduled Reports; Now Send on Any Day of the Month

By now many of you are using the AutoPilot to build your Scheduled Reports that are sent to Brokers, Office Managers, Agents and others.  On the designated date, AutoPilot sends an email with a link in the body of the email.  The receiver opens the email, clicks the link and opens the report.

The Scheduled Reports that are sent using the AutoPilot save time because you don’t have to generate the report(s) or send them to whoever needs them.  AutoPilot does that for you!

But, what if you want to repeat the AutoPilot on a certain day of the month?  How can you ensure that your monthly Office Manager reports go out on the last day of the month?  Or the third of every month?  Or any day you select?

There’s a little trick to making this happen.  When completing the AutoPilot in the ToDo page, do the following.  Use the calendar to select the date you want the AutoPilot containing the report to go out the first time.  Select ‘Repeat’ = YES.  In the field for ‘Repeat in How Many Days’ enter a “12” plus the date you want it to repeat.  For example if you want it to repeat on the third (3rd) of every month, enter “1203”.  If you want it to go out on the 15th of every month, enter “1215”.  If you want it go out on the last day of every month, enter “1231”.

We all know that some months have fewer than 31 days, but ReloSpec is smart enough to make the adjustment.  If you enter “1231” and the next month is February, it will be scheduled for February 28th, but then in March it will be scheduled for the 31st.

Let us know if you need help building your AutoPilot Scheduled Reports.  It’s really a matter of knowing:

  1. Which report to send,
  2. Who you want to send it to, and
  3. When you want to send it

Add Images To Your Expenses; Let Corporate Users View/Approve

For those using the Images option there is a new feature you’ll find very handy.  Now you can tie the image to a specific expense.  Let’s say you have uploaded a receipt to the Images table and want it associated with a specific expense.  Just click the record for the expense, click the new Browse button, view images uploaded just for the one referral record your working on and select the one you want!

And, from the Expenses page you can simply click the image link in the grid and Preview the image.

But, there’s more.  Let’s say you have a Corporate client that needs to approve expenses.  Now the Corporate client can login to www.MyReloSpec.com using the ID/Password you assign, select the employee record, click the (new, coming this week) EXPENSES button, view the image (ie. receipts, whatever), and click the ‘Approve’ field to YES.  The [Approve] field is the ONLY field that the Corporate user can update.  All other fields are Read-Only.  The field will be updated and you’ll automatically get an email letting you know the expense was approved!

Speaking of Corporate users, the ‘Referrals List’ page is being changed to appear more as a “branded” page for your company.  Instead of “Referrals List” the heading will be the name of your company, and your company logo will be inserted in the upper-left corner of the page.
