Improved Delivery of ReloSpec Email

We all know that spam is a fact of life on the internet, and while major email service providers have made enormous strides over the years in identifying those unsolicited messages from your long lost aunt who is stranded on a Pacific island and needs funding to get home, some of those filters can be very aggressive, leading to delivery problems for legitimate e-mail messages.  ReloSpec Cloud is no exception when it comes to the possibility of delivery issues.

One of the ways applications maximize the chance for successful delivery of a message is to make use of what’s called an authenticated domain, where, essentially, the “server is known to match the sender”.  This is an industry best practice, and ReloSpec Cloud now has a way to honor this best practice by partnering with Mailgun, a reputable and well-regarded, enterprise-strength e-mail service.  The authenticated domain we’ll be using is relosoftware.com. 

What does this mean for you?  Really, it’s not that big a deal, but there are a couple things you should be aware of.  Whether you use Outlook, Gmail, or a different mail client, messages coming from ReloSpec Cloud will be coming from notify@relosoftware.com.  It will probably look a bit like what you see here.

What this means is that any rules you have set in your inbox that reference a previous “from” address will no longer be in effect.  You might wish to reset such rules.

Aside from that, nothing changes. When you hit “Reply” to one of these messages, your email client will recognize the “Reply-To” in the incoming message.  This is the address of the person that actually sent you the message.  You can reply as usual be on your way.

The conversion to this new method will begin the week of April 9th and continue through May 1st.  The benefits we can all expect to see: improved rate of delivery, and much more insight into what delivery problems do exist, if any.

Announcing Customer Advisory Boards

In the effort to address specific customer needs and build value-added features into the Relocation Specialist (ReloSpec) software, we are now forming ‘Customer Advisory Boards’.  Members of each specific board will help identify those features that may be unique to that group, be given an opportunity to beta new features, and review new design options.

We are planning to have these groups separated by affiliation so we can better understand and address your specific needs.  The groups are:   1) Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and Real Living brokers, 2) members of the Cartus broker network, 3) members of LeadingRE, as well as, 4) a general Relocation Director group.   The Boards will meet once a month for about 30-45 minutes over the Internet.  Board members will help determine the best date/time to meet.  The suggested time is 11:00 Central time on either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.  Representatives from Constellation Web Solutions, the owner of the ReloSpec software, will conduct the first meeting though future meetings may be conducted by board members.

Main Menu Page Gets A Facelift

You will soon notice that the ReloSpec Main Menu page has a new look.  With the help of the Constellation Web Solutions team, the page is now more up-to-date.  The old icons are gone and a new menu bar has been added at the top. This is a brief preview of future changes that are planned for other ReloSpec pages.  

Over the next few months we’ll begin with the most-used pages and continue from there.  Not only will there be a new look, but we’re very excited about new easy-to-use features that are planned.

NOTE: For those of your using Internet Explorer (IE) in ‘Compatibility Mode’ you may find it necessary to use the link at the bottom of the page to change back to the ‘Classic Version’ of the page.  We will not be programming for Compatibility View for future ReloSpec pages.  If you use IE in Compatibility Mode, and you want to view the new page, do the following:  1) Click the gear in the upper-right of the page, 2) Click ‘Compatibility View settings’ and 3) Remove the entry for “ReloSpecCloud.com”

We’re Just Getting Started (again!)

As was announced last week, Constellation Web Solutions (CWS) has purchased Relocation Specialist (ReloSpec).  We are all very excited to be a part of the CWS family of real estate-related products and look forward to improvements and new features coming soon to ReloSpec.

As we are just now getting started, here are a few of the things we’re working on:

  • Email to Responses;  this new feature will automatically insert email replies to the ReloSpec Responses table.  Emails sent from ReloSpec will include the database name and referral ID.  When the recipient clicks REPLY and sends the email, it will be forwarded to a ReloSpec server that will extract the email content and insert it into the Responses page.  That way, the user avoids copying/pasting the email content into the referral record.
  • ReloSpec Facelift; Don’t we all want to get things done faster, be easier-to-use and look better?  Watch for a more updated ‘look’ with easier to use features.  We think you’ll appreciate the modern look and love the time-saving features.
  • ReloSpec 1-click with Express pages;  Okay, this one isn’t new, but if you’re not using the ‘Express’ forms on the Main Menu page you should be.  Why?  Because all you do is open the page, fill-in the fields and SUBMIT.  The Action Plan and AutoPilots are automatically run for you and if it’s an ‘Outgoing’ record and the receiving broker has ReloSpec it sends a copy of the record to their Import table!  Quick and easy!
  • FORMS and REPORTS rehab;  We all know there are too many forms and too many reports.  We are in the process of identifying the most-used ones so we can consolidate what we have while providing what you need.
  • Agent Access;  Did you know you can assign an ID/Password to your agents and they can then login, view only their own records in Read-Only mode?  They can send updates on specific referrals, submit new ones and even update their own profile information like phone and email address.  You may assign as many as you like and you may remove access to agent(s) as needed.

New Reports: BMA Variance and Conversion reports

Recently we announced the ‘BMA Variance’ report.  The response has been great, but “what about a ‘BMA Variance’ report for agents?” we were asked.  So, now there is a ‘BMA Variance by Agent’ and a ‘BMA Variance by Office’ report.  Both reports show the difference between the BMA price and the sale price as a percent.

In addition we have created the ‘Conversion, Grouped by Agent’ and the ‘Conversion, Grouped by Office’ reports.  So now you can display the results of records received ONLY within the Date Range for an Agent or an Office.

These reports are provided as a result of customer requests for reports.  Please let us know if you need something you cannot find in ReloSpec.  We’re here to help you.

 

Need help updating email addresses?

Recently Brookfield Global Relocation changed their name to BGRS.  If you have multiple records in your Contacts table with people from BGRS you’ll need to change their email addresses from something like Name@brookfieldgrs.com to Name@BGRS.com.

We can help with that.  If you have any such records, let Jim Evans know by emailing him at Jim@ReloSoftware.com.  He has created an update utility that will perform the update you.  No charge.  But, let him know by the end of this month so it can be scheduled.
