Jim Evans to retire in December

After 20+ years of writing, selling and supporting the Relocation Specialist (ReloSpec) software, Jim Evans is retiring.  Last year the software was sold to Constellation Web Solutions with Tom Demos as the Product Manager. Over the last twelve months Jim has helped with the transition.

In a recent interview, Jim said, “Retiring is very bittersweet.  I’ll miss all the great friends I have met along the way.  I’m glad that Sue Farley and Mark Harpootlian have remained with ReloSpec.  Without Sue and Mark’s help I would never have been able to adequately support our many customers over the years.  They are fabulous.”

“I’m also very pleased with how Tom and the Constellation team have embraced the ReloSpec software.  They are a proven team continuing the ReloSpec tradition of offering excellent software products and great customer support.”

Jim’s official last day is Thursday, December 6th.  Though he won’t be involved in the day-to-day operations, he has agreed to attend two of the upcoming conferences in Las Vegas as an ‘Ambassador’.  He’s planning to attend the LeadingRE conference in February (20th – 22nd) and the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices (BHHS) conference in March (10th – 12th).

Announcing Customer Advisory Boards

In the effort to address specific customer needs and build value-added features into the Relocation Specialist (ReloSpec) software, we are now forming ‘Customer Advisory Boards’.  Members of each specific board will help identify those features that may be unique to that group, be given an opportunity to beta new features, and review new design options.

We are planning to have these groups separated by affiliation so we can better understand and address your specific needs.  The groups are:   1) Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and Real Living brokers, 2) members of the Cartus broker network, 3) members of LeadingRE, as well as, 4) a general Relocation Director group.   The Boards will meet once a month for about 30-45 minutes over the Internet.  Board members will help determine the best date/time to meet.  The suggested time is 11:00 Central time on either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.  Representatives from Constellation Web Solutions, the owner of the ReloSpec software, will conduct the first meeting though future meetings may be conducted by board members.

Meeting with Real Estate Digital (R.E.D.)

We had a great meeting with our Constellation Software partner, Real Estate Digital (R.E.D.) yesterday.   We are looking at ways to integrate more sources into ReloSpec and would like your input.

As you may know ReloSpec can receive leads from LeadingRE’s Xchange, certain broker’s websites, broker-to-broker referrals and a few other sources.

ReloSpec Advisory Councils forming soon

Many of you have asked about the formation of a ReloSpec Advisory Council.  You have asked and we have listened.  Today we are announcing plans to form at least one Advisory Council and possibly three.

The purpose of the Advisory Council(s) is to identify ways that Relocation Specialist can be improved to meet the needs of specific groups of people.  We’re considering an Advisory Council for Cartus Network users, one for LeadingRE users and another for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services/Prudential and other users.

We need your help in the formation of the Advisory Council(s).  What would you suggest for the following questions:

  1. How often should the Council meet?  (Once per month in a GoToMeeting format?)
  2. How many should be members of the Council?
  3. Does it make sense to have separate groups?  (eg. Cartus Network, LeadingRE, BHHS/Pru, etc?)
  4. How and when to report on Council activities?

Will We See You Next Week?

It’s that time of year already.  We just finish with the New Years celebrations and it’s time to pack for the next conference.  This year, two major conferences are held at the same time, but at opposite ends of the country.

The Cartus Network conference will be held next week in Ft Lauderdale, FL.  Of course ReloSpec will again be represented and Sue Farley will be there to meet with you.  Look for the ReloSpec table in the EXPO area throughout the conference.

The LeadingRE conference is in Las Vegas again this year.  We’ll be there too and Jim Evans will look forward to meeting with you at Booth #1308 at the wild and crazy Networking Night, plus throughout the conference in the Exhibit area.

Aren’t You Tired Of Re-Entering Data?

For Cartus Brokers

Use the Copy/Paste feature to instantly insert records from Broker Center into ReloSpec.  Just select the record in Broker Center, click a couple buttons and the record is instantly in your Referrals table.  Select your agent, then you can use your Action Plan(s) and with one click instantly make all the assignments, send emails and schedule updates.  This will save you TONS of time!  Ask about a 30-day FREE trial.

 

For Leading RE Brokers

Use the Application Program Interface (API) to have all Xchange records inserted automatically into your ReloSpec database.  Or, when entering an Outgoing record in ReloSpec, click the checkbox and have the record instantly added to Xchange.  PLUS, the bonus is that all agent updates in ReloSpec are automatically send to the Notes in Xchange!  Why aren’t you using this yet?

 

For Records From Your Website, Trulia, Zillow, Realtor.com and Other Sources

Why not have all those leads go automatically into your ReloSpec Import table?  You can scrub them there, move the ones you want to the Referrals table and work them from there.   Need help processing and managing all those leads?

Popular ‘Live’ Training Seminars are Scheduled

Two ‘live’ on-site Training Seminars have been scheduled for next February.  The two all-day Seminars will be held Monday, February 25th in Las Vegas, then Tuesday, February 26th in Phoenix.  An email announcement is also being sent later today to all Relocation Specialist customers.

The cost is $195/person, and includes a catered lunch.  Times are 9:00AM-4:00PM each day.  The Las Vegas Seminar is just after the RE/MAX conference and just before the LeadingRE conference in Las Vegas.  The Phoenix Seminar is the day before the Cartus International conference in Phoenix.

The agenda for both meetings includes just about anything you wanted to know about the Relocation Specialist software, plus a few things you don’t know.  Included will be a ‘Show & Tell’ (“Best Practices”) from Relocation Specialist users on how they use the database to their advantage.  Please see the email for more Agenda details.  If you did not receive the email and would like more information please contact Jennifer (jennifer@prosws.com) or Sue (sue@prosws.com) for more information.

Relocation Specialist to participate in LeadingRE Workshops

Relocation Specialist has been selected to present a special 2-hour training session at each of the four Fall Workshops to be held in Providence, RI, Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA and Costa Mesa, CA in September.  Jim Evans will lead the training sessions which will include new features being released as well as the chance for attendees to get answers to their questions.  Both current customers and prospectives customers are welcome.  We’ll see you there!
