Six New ADVANCED Reports Now Available

Six new Advanced reports are now available for Relocation Specialist, making it easier than before to get the report you need.  The new report names all begin with “Incoming/Outgoing…” meaning that only records that sent or received (or both) within the Date Range are included.  They also allow for NULL values, meaning that records that may not have a value in the Category/Affinity or Network/Anagram or Office field will still be included in the report if the other selection criteria such as Date Range, Type and Status are met.

Here is a brief explanation of ReloSpec REPORTS.

What are Advanced Reports?

  1. Advanced reports are run entirely over the Internet (do not need additional software to view/print)
  2. They can be exported to a PDF file, Excel or Word
  3. Once saved as a PDF they may be emailed to others as attachments
  4. Advanced reports include a ‘Sample’ that may be viewed to display what to expect.  Just click the ‘View Sample’ link
  5. Names of Advanced reports indicate what records will be included
    1. “Activity…” reports will include records sent/received AND records that closed within the Date Range
    2. “Closed…” reports include records that closed within the Date Range
    3. “Incoming/Outgoing…” reports include records that were either sent or received or both, depending on the selection criteria
    4. Other reports start with different titles, depending on their specific function, such as “Scorecards..” for agents and offices
  6. Advanced reports are where most of the development occurs due to considerations such as formatting issues and smart phone use

What are ‘Standard’ Reports?

  1. Standard reports may be accessed over the Internet, but do not have the same formatting as the Advanced reports.  Page numbers, column headings are other considerations may be missing with Standard reports.
  2. Entering filtering criteria is not always as easy with Standard reports.
  3. Very little new programming is done with the older Standard reports, though they remain popular with many and there are no plans to disable them.

What about the ‘Miscellaneous’ Reports?

  1. The Miscellaneous reports are ones that are unique to certain situations.  For example there are many reports that are available only to members of Cartus.  They are included in the this section
  2. Some customers have their own customized reports that fall into this section

  2. Incoming/Outgoing by Firm
  3. Incoming/Outgoing by Network/Anagram
  4. Incoming/Outgoing by Office
  5. Incoming/Outgoing by Referral Status

‘LIVE’ Training Seminars in Las Vegas and Phoenix

Two ‘Live’ Training Seminars have been announced for late February; one in Las Vegas and one in Phoenix.  Here is your chance to meet in person with members of the ReloSpec Team and learn how to do all those cool things you keep hearing about.

And, for those of you who cannot attend in person, the Phoenix Training Seminar sessions will be available over the Internet!  You can attend the morning session (9:00-11:00 Mountain time) or the afternoon session (1:00-3:00 Mountain time) or both!  (Register for either, or both sessions below.)

Cost to attend either ‘Live’ event in person is $195 and includes a catered lunch, if paid by 31 JAN 2013.  NOTE: If the registration fee is paid after 31 JAN 2013, the cost is $245.  Within 1 business day of registration you’ll receive an invoice via email.

Free ReloSpec ‘Mobile’ App for Smart Phones and PCs!

The Relocation Specialist (ReloSpec) Mobile App is now better than ever!  Using your smart phone, go to www.ReloSoftware.com and click the ‘Relocation Specialist Login’ link at the top of the page.  If you’re accessing the page from a smart phone, the ‘Mobile’ mode will be automatically selected.  There is no special app to download or install.  Simple and FREE for all ReloSpec users.

The whole look and feel of the ‘Mobile’ mode is cleaner-looking, simpler to navigate and easier to use.  You have access to all the normal features such as AutoPilot, Action Plans, Notes, Closing, Forms and even Reports, plus a couple new ones not available in the Classic (non-Mobile) version.

PC users may select the Mobile ‘Theme’ in the Users table and when using a PC the Mobile version will always be selected automatically without remembering to click the ‘Mobile’ checkbox on the Main Menu page.  It is expected that many PC users will opt for the Mobile Theme (and version) because of the cleaner presentation of data and new options.

The Mobile version works well with PCs, smart pads and smart phones.  If it can connect to the Internet, it will work.  We invite you to check out the new Mobile version of ReloSpec and let us know what you think.

3 Great New Reports Available; 2 Year Comparisons

Three new ‘Advanced’ reports have been added to the REPORTS page and are available today.  They are:

  • Closed, Grouped by Category/Affinity; 2 Yr Comparison
  • Closed, Grouped by Network/Anagram; 2 Yr Comparison
  • Closed, Grouped by Referral Type; 2 Yr Comparison

When first opened, these three reports display the total number closed and the dollar volume comparing this year to last year, grouped by certain fields.  Click the ‘+’ sign in the report and the number and amounts per Month will be displayed!  Click it again and the you’ll be back to the original report.

Though we call it a “2 Yr Comparison” you can use any Begin and End dates for any two periods.  So, for example, you could compare the current month this year versus the same month last year.  And, as with all Advanced reports you can view the report as a PDF file, save it as a PDF file and email it, or you can drop it into an Excel or Word document.

Enhanced Custom Financial Report now available

Many new enhancements have just been added to the ‘Custom Financial Report’.  This ‘Standard’ report allows the user to select which fields they want to appear in the report, and to filter on the selected fields.  This continues to be a popular choice because it allows you to create your own ad-hoc reports easily.

Following are a few of the recent enhancements to the Custom Financial Report:

  • The layout of the fields has changed.  Fields of similar type are now grouped together which makes finding the field(s) you need easier
  • You may SAVE up to 4 different field selections (reports) per user!  Select the fields you want, click the radio button for which Report number to SAVE the selections to and the field list is saved.  Next time you run the report, click the radio button for the Report number you want (1, 2, 3 or 4) and all fields will instantly be selected!
  • Entering date ranges just got much easier!  You can still copy the sample date, paste it to the date field of your choice and change as needed.  But now you can simply enter the Begin Date, the word “to” and the End Date.  (example: “1/1/2012 to 6/30/2012”).  The report will translate the entry to what is needed.
  • You’ll still be able to run the report, sort by any field and DOWNLOAD, print, open in Excel or save as a CSV file.

IMPORTANT Update on Advanced Reports

Over the last few days, much work has been done with the Advanced reports, and a few explanations will help.

With limited exception, report names now start with “Activity…”, “Closed…” or “Sent/Received…”.  All “Activity…” reports include records where the Date Recvd/Sent OR the Close Date are within the date range.  All “Closed…” reports include records that closed within the date range and “Sent/Received…” reports include records that were sent and/or received within the date range.  So, if you need a report that shows records that were sent or received, grouped by the Referral Type, you can use “Sent/Received, Grouped by Referral Type”.

There are currently 36 Advanced reports.  As the need arises, additional reports will be added, but with the new naming rules it will be easier to find the report you need.  In addition to the naming rules being used, we have updated the Descriptions and ‘View Sample’ links.  The descriptions now display the fields included in the report and may be searched using the SEARCH button on the page.  Suppose you need a report that includes the Dead Reasons, you could click SEARCH, enter “Dead Reason” in the Description field and view a list of the 5 reports that include the “Dead Reason” field.

For those using the ‘Favorite Forms’ list, you’ll need to make some changes to the list.  Because in most cases we have changed the report names it will be necessary to DELETE the previous report names, and ADD NEW the replacement reports you want in your list.

Though a little painful in the short-term, we think these naming rules will be a big help moving forward.  In addition, many reports have been updated with faster response times and additional filtering options.

 

‘Favorite Forms’ now in AutoPilot and Action Plans

Selecting the ‘Form to send’ when generating a new AutoPilot in the ToDo page just got a lot easier!  Instead of including all 100+ Forms, the droplist now includes ONLY your Favorite Forms.  That makes it much easier to select the one you want.  This same list of Favorite Forms is used when adding a new Action Plan Item in the Action Plans page.

The use of your Favorite Forms is only when ADDing a new record in the AutoPilot (ToDo) record, or the Action Plan Items page.  If you click the pencil to UPDATE a record in either page you’ll have the full list of all available Forms.

To adjust your ‘Favorite Forms’ list, go to the Utility Settings page (from the Main Menu), click ‘Favorite Forms’ and add the ones you want to include.  The list of ‘Favorite Forms’ will be the same for all in your database.  It is not set for individual users.

Advanced Reports growing in Popularity

Managing referrals and leads with Relocation Specialist is a snap, but at some point, getting meaningful reports will allow you to evaluate your efforts.  We have three important announcements regarding reports.

First, the ‘Advanced’ reports continue to grow in popularity.  If you’re not familiar with them, do yourself a favor and check them out.  Click the REPORTS link in the Referrals List page, then click the ‘Advanced’ radio button.  The Advanced reports will be listed for you.  With all Advanced reports you may view, print, download to Excel or Word or view/save as a PDF file.  All with great formatting and accuracy!

Second, we are adding Preview Samples to all Advanced reports.  When you click the REPORTS link you’ll now be able to get a sample of what the report includes and what it will look like when saved/printed.  You may browse, click the link to ‘See full sample’ or even click the ‘Add to favorites’ link and add the report(s) to your company’s list of favorite reports.

Third, we’re asking you to check out the latest reports that may provide just the details you need.  They are:

  • Scorecards – Agent  (all details needed to evaluate agent’s performance)
  • Scorecards – Agent 5  (14 reports shown in a 1-page summary for an agent)
  • Scorecards – Office  (details needed to evaluate office(s) performance)

Advanced reports are FULL PAGE again

For those of you using Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) there has been an issue with viewing the full page of the Advanced reports.  We’re happy to say that the issue has been resolved and we encourage you to resume using the Advanced reports.  Thank you for your patience.

Getting Contacts Mailing List from Referrals

It’s that time of year when we get requests to produce mailing lists for Contacts in the Referrals table.  Do you need to produce mailing labels or envelopes for those holiday mailings?  Or would you like to send letters to thank your Contacts for their business?  You can!

There is an updated Advanced report named ‘Contacts in Referrals’ that will help.  You can filter for the records you need, export them and use them with MS Word in a mail merge.  Plus, this report automatically eliminates duplicates!
